This is a temple that has a long history stretching back to the year 725. Sights include the Hyaku-shaku Kannon that was carved into a quarry at the peak and the “Glimpse into Hell” lookout that looks down 100m. Within the caves that are found along the nature trail, there are countless numbers of Buddhist statues, and then there is the impressive 31m-high Great Buddha, Yakushi Ruriko Nyorai, carved into the mountain.
