An island located at the southern tip of Tateyama Bay, Okinoshima has been designated as part of Minami Boso Quasi-National Park. Formerly an isolated island, due to upheavals in the Earth’s crust, it is now attached to the mainland. The island which has a perimeter of about 1km has temperate zone flora and is enjoyable for a seaside walk, fishing and snorkeling.
