If you want to enjoy Tokyo on a rainy day, take a leisurely tour of some museums. Along with a museum where you can learn about history through some clever displays and a museum where you can experience the culture of the samurai, you can also walk through the Shibuya pedestrian scramble with your umbrella up while masses of people cross all at once.

12:00 PM 01:00 PM   -   Tokyo Ramen Street


Head for Tokyo Ramen Street which is a popular area inside Tokyo Station. It’s not a place to hang about on rainy days but a site to enjoy tasty ramen. Find the ramen shop of your choice and enjoy lunch. However, be prepared for long lineups at the popular places!

01:30 PM 03:00 PM   -   Samurai Museum


A 10-minute walk from Shinjuku Station, this is a museum where you can experience some of that samurai spirit. See the displays of armor and swords and even try on a samurai uniform! You can even view a samurai battle show (the shows are at 2:00, 3:00, 4:00 and 5:00).

03:30 PM 04:00 PM   -   Shibuya Crossing


Go to the famous pedestrian scramble in front of Shibuya Station where on weekends, as many as 3,000 people cross en masse. You will even want to watch the spectacle on a rainy day when the mass of people with their open umbrellas passing each other makes for quite a sight.
