My boyfriend and I are planning to go visit Iwate Pref. after spending a few days in Tokyo. Could someone help with how to get there? I know we need to take the Shinkansen to get there. Are there also options of taking the bus?

You can get on the bus from Tokyo station (Yaesu South Exit) or Ikebukuro Station (East Exit Boarding Area 9) to Morioka Station in Iwate. The fare is 7,800 yen（14,000 yen round trip). It takes 7 hr. 20 min.

By Shinkansen, take the “Hayate” on the JR Tohoku Shinkansen from Tokyo Station. It takes 145 min. to Morioka Station.
