Hello, I've just settled down and started to work in this amazing city. However I'm still confused with the complicated train system...Anyone has any idea about how to buy commuter train ticket? How much does it cost? and for how long? Also, in general, does the commuting cost covered by the company?

You can buy one for either 1, 3, or 6 months and how much it costs depends on from where to where you're commuting. You can look it up on hyperdia. www.hyperdia.com
And whether your company covers the cost or not depends on your employee status, so ask your employer.
