Hi,
I would like to know when is the best time to visit Japan. I went to Tailand in March this year with a connnection in Tokyo Narita and I was so well received that I decided I want to visit Japan. I know though it is a very cold country and I didn´t want to be there in a very cold time of the year, but it doesn´t need to be in a summer time.
Also, I really enjoy Japonese cinema, is there any time of the year that there is a famous cinema festival that a foreigner could understand and enjoy?

If you don't like the cold, maybe visiting in the spring or the autumn is better. It's chilly in the mornings and evenings but it's a nice temperature in the day time. In the spring you can see cherry blossoms and in the autumn, the foliage turning red and yellow is a pretty sight to see.
There's the Tokyo International Film Festival held in the autumn every year. Maybe that's something you'd enjoy. The website is the following. http://2017.tiff-jp.net/en/
