Hi, our family (2 adults, 3 kids, the youngest is 3 years old) is planning on going to Disneyland/Disney Sea. As we’d also like to have time to sightsee in the city and only have a limited number of days to spend in Tokyo, I was wondering if it's possible to see both the theme parks in 1 day, and if they actually have tickets that let you see both parks in 1 day. I don't want to try it if it seems ridiculously impossible time wise , but the older kids have their hearts set on seeing both Disneyland and Sea. Thanks.
In my opinion, seeing both the theme parks in 1 day is not something you want to do. You won't have time enough to see much at either park, and it's going to be really expensive. If it's a weekend, the lines to get on the rides are on average at least an hour long, sometimes maybe even 3 hours. So, if you're able to go on a weekday, I'd recommend doing so.The 1 day tickets for Disneyland/Disney Sea are 7,400 yen for adults, 4 - 11 year olds are 4,800 yen, and 12 - 17 year olds are 6,400 yen. And they don't have a 1 day ticket that lets you enter both parks.
Maybe sightseeing in Tokyo until early afternoon, and then using the After 6 ticket (After 3 on weekends) to see each park on two separate days is the most practical money and time wise if you don't want to spend two whole days in Disneyland/DisneySea.
