Yamaguchi is the last spot on the Tokaido Shinkansen line before crossing the channel to Kyushu island. There’s are many sightseeing spots in Yamaguchi and here are the recommended ones according to TripAdvisor.
The most famous would be the Kintai Bridge, which has 5 continuous wooden arches, showing the excellent building technology of the 1600s.
There’s also the Moto Nosumi Inari Shrine which has been selected by CNN as one of the 31 most beautiful sites to visit in Japan. It’s 123 red torii gates spanning a width of 100m is a truly amazing sight.
