I want to go see Lake Tazawa while I'm passing through Akita pref. Could someone explain how to get there? I’ll be taking the Shinkansen from Sendai.

You’ll need to take the Akita Shinkansen to Tazawako station. From there get on the Ugo Kotsu Bus bound for Tazawako (Lake Tazawa) for 15 min. and get off at the last stop. You'll need to walk to the lake from the bus stop.
