My boyfriend and I will be going to Sendai next week from Tokyo. We want to visit Hiraizumi and Chusonji. Could someone tell us how we get there?

By train, you take the Tohoku Shinkansen to Ichinoseki station and then get on the local JR Tohoku Honsen bound for Morioka station and get off at Hiraizumi. Then take a taxi to Chusonji. It takes about 1.5 hours. If you want to walk, it's about a 25min. walk to the temple.
