We’ll be coming to Japan in the winter time, probably after New Years. I hear that Japan has a lot of events using illumination and we’d like to go see some. Will the events still be going on after New Years or is it just for the winter holidays? If so, where are some places we should go?

Most of the illumination events continue on at least till Valentine’s Day, so you'll definitely be able to see them if you’re coming in January. Here are places with some of the largest events in the Kanto area.
