We'll be coming to visit Kyoto in a day on October 2017. We are a group of 5: 3 young adults and our middle aged parents. We would like to go to the following:
1. Kiyomizudera + Yasaka Pagoda + Maruyama Park
2. Arashiyama Bamboo Forest + Tenryu-ji temple + Monkey Park
3. Kinkakuji
4. Nijo Castle
5.Fushimi Inari Shrine (preferably at evening time)
Is it possible to cover all these places in a day (around 9am to 8pm)? What is the best order for us to go about these areas? Do you have any suggestions to make the experience fuller?
Thank you very much! :)
Arigato Gozaimasu!
If you only spend a short time at each place, it's probably possible but maybe you should skip Maruyama park.
You should go to Kinkakuji first, then Nijyojo, the Kiyomizudera and Yasaka shrine. After that get on the JR Sanin Honsen line from Kyoto station to Saga Arashiyama station. From there, go to Tenryuji temple, the monkey park and Arashiyama Bamboo forest. Then go to Fushimi Inari.

Cool! I'll try to map out the places in your recommended order. Thank you, Jerry!
