Hi, I'm thinking of going to Nagoya as a day trip from Tokyo. I just want to try the miso-katsu that seems to be famous there and see the castle. Is it doable in a day trip or will it be really rushed?

It takes just under 2 hours from Tokyo station by Shinkansen so it is doable in a day trip. If you start around 9am, you'll be there by lunch time so you can try the miso-katsu then. Then go see the castle and then take the Shinkansen back to Tokyo in the late afternoon and you'll be back by dinner time.
