I have heard that there’s a new pass named Kansai One Pass that started from last year.I was trying to search online for the advantages of Kansai One Pass, but couldn’t find any.
Can anyone advise me on the difference between the ICOCA and Kansai One Pass. They kind of sound the same to me except that the Kansai One Pass comes with a portrait of Astro Boy on one side and a package of non-transport (presumably museum and restaurant) discount vouchers and a map.
I know you can use ICOCA cards in a wide range of Japanese cities. Can the Kansai One Pass also be used in these cities outside the central Kansai region?
The Kansai One Pass is basically a special version of the normal ICOCA.
It’s just that the card design is different and you get discount coupons with the Kansai One Pass.
So in other areas the Kansai One Pass card will be just like the normal ICOCA, and you’ll have no problem using it in areas that you can use the ICOCA in.

I guess it doesn't matter which one I get then. Thanks for the help.
