Hi,
I’m coming to Japan for the first time with my family and have 3 days to sightsee in the Tokyo area. Could someone advise me on how I should spend the 3 days. We have 2 kids, but they're in junior high and high school so walking long distances shouldn't be a problem if we need to.
Maybe I should add that we arrive at 6am on our first day and on the evening of our 3rd day we plan to leave for Kyoto on the bullet train so we have 2.5 days to see the sights.
Thank you in advance.

On your first day, go directly to your hotel from the airport and leave your luggage there. Then, visit Hamarikyu garden, take the river cruise to Asakusa. (It lets you take a breather). Then tour Asakusa and have some lunch. In the afternoon, go see Akihabara, famous for electronics/anime, and then end your day by going to Tokyo Tower.
On your second day, take a day trip down to Kamakura. See the Great Buddha, Hasedera, have lunch on your way to Tsurugaoka Hachiman Shrine, and last go see Hokokuji temple.
On your third day, leave your luggage at your hotel, go see Meiji Jingu Shrine, Harajuku, Shibuya. Have a late lunch and then go get your luggage and head for Tokyo station to catch the Shinkansen for Kyoto.
