Hi,
My boyfriend and I are interested in visiting the Hottarakashi Onsen, and would like to know if the baths are mixed gender (we’d like to experience it together)? And are we allowed to use the Onsen even if we are not hotel guests?

Hi Jess.
Currently, the baths at the Hottarakashi Onsen are separated between men and women. It’s okay if you are not a hotel guest, you just have to pay ¥800 yen for the entry fee.
