Hi!
I would like to travel to Chubu region for the popular areas such as Nagoya, Takayama,Shirakawago, Kanazawa & Nagano. My starting & ending point would be Yokohama as I am based there.
Any recommendations for the best route? :)

You'd need to take the Tokaido Shinkansen from Shin Yokohama station to Nagoya. from there, take the JR Tokaido line express bound for Ogaki and get off at Gifu station. Then take the JR Takayama line to Takayama tation. From Takayama to Shirakawago, and then on to Kanazawa you need to take the bus. See the website below for details. And then from Kanazawa to Nagano take the Hokuriku Shinkansen. Also use this Shinkansen back to Tokyo station. You'll need to take the JR Tokaido line back to Yokohama from there.
