My wife is interested in the flower festivals in Japan. So we’d like to schedule our trip to coincide with some of the flower festivals. I know that cherry blossoms are a big thing in Japan, but are there any other flower festivals that we could see maybe around the same time?
Nemophila (Baby Blue Eyes) @ Hitachi Seaside Park, Ibaraki Pref.(April to May)
Shibazakura (Moss phlox) @ Yamanashi Pref. near Mt. Fuji or Chichibu, Saitama Pref. (March - June)
Fuji (Wisteria)@Ashikaga Flower Park, Tochigi Pref. or Kawachi Fujien, Fukuoka Pref. (April - May)
Manjushage ( Spider Lillies)@Koma, Saitama Pref. ( September - October)
Sakura (cherry blossoms)@ almost anywhere in Japan, but Ueno Park in Tokyo or Kiyomizu temple in Kyoto, Goryokaku Park in Hokkaido are famous (March - May)
