When is the best time to visit Okinawa weather-wise? I know a lot of Typhoons pass through in the summer time. So is it better to go in the spring or autumn? I want to go swimming so winter is out of the question.

Late May to late June is the rainy season, meaning not squalls but rain that continues throughout the day, so you don't want to go then. And typhoon season is July through September. But it's probably the best time to go if you want to go enjoy summer and the beaches. It's just luck whether a typhoon comes or not. Winter comes with sometimes strong wind and cloudy days, and not a good time to go in the water.

I went with a group of friends during golden week and although it was raining a bit, we had a great time in the sunny days
