My family and I want to visit the cup noodle museum in Yokohama and make our own cup noodle. Will it be difficult to get there by ourselves using the train? Our hotel is near Shinjuku station. We’re used to using the public transportation system and we’ve had experience using it in other countries, so I assume it won’t be so different in Japan.

It’s not that difficult to get to the Minato Mirai area where the cup noodle museum is located, though the train transfer at Yokohama station could be a little tricky as the station is so big.
You can get to Yokohama station on the JR Shonan-Shinjuku Line from Shinjuku station. Then you’ll need to get on the JR Negishi Line to Sakuragicho station. Or if you’re hotel is closer to Shinjuku-Sanchome station on the Tokyo Metro Fukutoshin Line, you can ride the line all the way to Minato Mirai station (it automatically connects to the Minato Mirai Line). It’s about a 10 min walk from either station. You’ll see a ferris wheel, so head for that. The museum is across the street from it.
