I'm going to be visiting friends in Kurume city in Fukuoka and would like to know where the best place to stay would be. Somewhere that has close access to restaurants would be preferable. And also somewhere that’s close to the station would be convenient.

The best area to stay would be around the Nishitetsu line Kurume station, not the JR line Kurume station. There’s two so be careful. The Nishitestsu line station is closer to restaurants and shops.
