Will be traveling to Hokkaido this summer with some friends. We’re students studying in Japan so we’ll be traveling on a budget. What are foods that we can eat for not too much money, but still delicious and something we shouldn't miss?

Hokkaido is known for its ramen (miso flavor with butter and corn toppings) and for its soup curry. They're both things you can eat for about 1,000 yen or less. Also, the sushi is also delicious. You don't have to go to an expensive place for fresh sushi, you can go to the revolving belt conveyor sushi place. There are a lot of them in Sapporo, like the Susukino area. Even the people who live in Hokkaido say that the revolving sushi place’s sushi in Hokkaido is as good as or better than the really high end sushi restaurants in Tokyo.
