Tokyo Game Show is held a little too far from Tokyo, is a little too crowded, and is very overwhelming. But none of this matters as Tokyo Game Show is the best event I have visited at an exhibition center, hands down. Booths assigned to each video game company. Large stages offering announcements for new releases in the video game world. A chance to play new games. A chance to try virtual reality. A chance to take part in tournaments. A less crowded independent games area where all games can be tried (for free). Plenty of free things. Plenty of noise. Plenty of lights. Plenty of video game trailers. Plenty of announcements. Plenty of fun.
