I'm planning a trip to Japan with my boyfriend in october but our budget is limited so I'd like some advice.
We would like to go to the main cities like tokyo, kyoto and osaka but also to some nesrby places like the gian buddha city nesr Tokyo , Nara, and other interesting places.
I'd like to know if it is absolutely mandatory to stay more than 15 days if we want to do all of this, or if in 15 days we can do all.
Me and mt boyfriend are used to traveling and do backpacking, so we are OK with rushing the trip a little.
Anyone has a recommendation? Thank you!

I think 15 days is more than enough time to see the main cities Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto. The Giant Buddha near Tokyo is in Kamakura. You can go there as a day trip from Tokyo because it's only 1.5 hours away. You can also go on a day trip from Kyoto to Nara and see the Giant Buddha at Todaiji temple.
