Are there any particular rules to visiting Izumo Shrine? I know that it's a place of faith so I wouldn't want to do anything disrespectful.

Start from the Yatsuashi gate and see the main shrine. Then go counterclockwise to see the other shrines. If you'd like to pray at the shrines, it's two bows, 4 claps, put your hands together and pray, and lastly bow one more time.
