My friends and I are looking for weird things to do or see in Kyoto. We’re not really into the traditional sightseeing stuff, and want to see something off the beaten path. Maybe something that doesn't involve temples, as we’ll already be seeing a lot of those on a tour we booked. Thanks for your help!

You can take a look at this website for weird things to go see.
It features Yokai (Monster) street, a temple with a rope made out of human hair (gross, I know), Nishiki market where you can find lots of different things to eat (e.g. baby octopus), etc.
