thinking of renting a car from airport to go 5th station. just wondering if it's advisable. Is it open to drive from Narita airport to 5th station. Is it ok to park the car overnight since we are planning to climb Fuji and we should be done afternoon of the next day. thanks,

There are restrictions on cars in the summer time and you won't be able to go all the way to the 5th station. You'll need to Park your car further down the mountain and take a shuttle bus to the 5th station. See details here. http://www.fujisan-climb.jp/en/access/
You can park your car overnight at the Fujihokuroku parking lot.
