I will be staying at Hotel Regina Kawaguchio. Do I need a car to visit Mount Fuji area and its surroundings? thanks for any advice.

Hi Tanya,
There's a local bus that runs around the Kawaguchiko area so you don't absolutely have to rent a car. But it would be more convenient if you did. Here's the website for the bus.
