I’ll be visiting Osaka and the Kansai area for two weeks. While I'm there, I'd love to try the Japanese style Kaiseki food, which I've heard is very beautiful as well as delicious. I've also heard of the Kappo style, but I don't really know what the difference is between the two. If someone could give me some explanation, I can choose which to try.

The difference between Kappo food and Kaiseki food is explained here. If you're looking for artistic presentation of the food served, you should go with Kaiseki. It's expensive but worth it. http://www.kappohana.com/kappo.html
In Osaka, try the following website for Kaiseki restaurants. https://theculturetrip.com/asia/japan/articles/osakas-top-5-kaiseki-restaurants/
