Hello, We’re coming to Japan in July for 2 weeks and would love to see a sumo tournament. Is it possible to book the tickets on our own? Or would we have to go through an agency? I also need to know the sumo tournament schedule so that I can plan our trip itinerary to include the tournament. Thank you for any advice you can give me

You can see the sumo tournament schedule on this website. http://www.sumo.or.jp/EnTicket/year_schedule The tickets go on sale about 1 month before the start of the tournament. But you should make sure to buy early as it seems like the tickets get sold out pretty fast. How to buy tickets are here.
