I'll be visiting Japan for 2 weeks next month starting from Tokyo. And it'll be my very first time in Japan. I'm making my trip itinerary now and am wondering if I should include Kobe in my trip. Is it worth it? By the way, I plan to visit Tokyo, Kyoto/Nara, Osaka, and Kyushu using the JR Rail Pass.

I enjoyed Kobe a lot when I visited. It's only about 1 hour away from Osaka station, so if you're staying in Osaka, you can make a day trip out of it. The Kobe beef was delicious and I loved the night view from Mt. Rokko. Arima Onsen was great too. Or you can stay the night and go to Kyushu via bullet train from Shin-Kobe station.
