Hi, I'm thinking of using the public transportation system to get around Hokkaido. I know that the train schedule is not too good in the rural parts but we don't have a driver in our group. Are there any train passes we should get?
There are two, the Hokkaido Rail Pass and the Hokkaido Free Pass, but they're almost exactly the same. For foreign tourists, the Hokkaido Rail Pass is cheaper.
